Team/division description:Chassis Design Division’s responsibility is: 1) Development of Chassis parts (Brake, Steering, Suspension, Tyre, Shift, Pedals, etc.) to achieve the highest driving performance and quality at a competitive price. 2) Local development of Chassis parts for vehicles built in Toyota’s European assembly plants. This activity is done in close cooperation with local suppliers and Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan. 3) Investigation of new European technologies.We are inspired by the Toyota Way precepts and we challenge to provide final customers with best quality products with the continuous improvement mindset. Your responsibilities:In the course of the internship of 4 to 6 months, the activity will be the development of The study vehicle dynamic control systems in terms of: - research on optimal control methods for functions, performance, stabilisation and robustness - study of applicability of innovative approaches in control theory - creation and adaptation of 0-D and 1-D physical models of chassis components - simulation of driving manoeuvres and comparison with test results - analysis of the simulation results - study of the impact of the component design to the overall vehicle dynamic performance - utilization of Dymola and Matlab/Simulink environment for the modelling/analysis tasks The selected candidate will be proceeding the internship under the supervision of a mentor assigned from the Chassis Engineering Division. Additionally, the mentor might have to contact with the institution/ school of origin for the smooth execution of the internship and good consolidation of the results.
