Safety Research Technical Affairs Planning team at Toyota Motor Europe Technical Center develops tools to monitor future Euro NCAP safety requirements. The project modernizes Excel-based tools into collaborative applications, defining specifications, coordinating development, running pilot tests, and creating user documentation to support engineers and product planners.

Team/division description
The Safety Research Technical Affairs Planning team (TAP) is part of the Research and Development group at Toyota Motor Europe Technical Center in Zaventem, Belgium. Our team consists of 7 engineers, dealing with future safety requirements, mainly related to Euro NCAP assessment on Passive, Active safety and Automated Driving.
The goal of our group is to feed information to the development divisions and product planners who can then ensure that future requirements can be implemented:
Your project
The team has developed tools (in Excel based-macros) to facilitate processes to monitor and support the development of future Euro NCAP requirements. The goal of this project is to transfer these tools into a better collaborative and automated environment, through either improving the existing tools or creating new tools using modern collaborative applications (eg. PowerApps)
Your job will focus one one of these tool and will consist in several tasks:

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
