With the increased share of hybrid and electric vehicles, customer expectations towards interior acoustics are expected to increase further. The more stringent mass requirement to the electrified vehicles create an additional challenge in the NVH development. In this internship you will contribute to an improved understanding of the trends in NVH performance and acoustic package. More specifically:- You will support the further improvement of an existing NVH benchmarking database, including implementation of additional KPIs for electrified vehicles. - You will exploit the data from this NVH database into a deeper level. Moreover, with the increased share of hybrid and electric vehicles, the impact of road noise to perceived customer comfort is expected to increase even further. In order to achieve a low level of road noise in the vehicle cabin, the forces and vibrations entering the vehicle body through the suspension have to be minimised. An important aspect is the control of the different modes in the tire, wheel and suspension. You will contribute to an ongoing research project where the main goal is to build a detailed understanding of the different dynamics in a rolling wheel and tire assembly, how they contribute to the force transmission, and how they can be controlled through specific properties of the components involved. We are looking for someone with a university degree and a very good knowledge and interest in building information systems. Our function is to design new colors for EU manufactured vehicles, development of decorative coatings for interior and exterior parts and advanced development of new type of pigments. Your projectPaint department activities require regular monitoring of the marketplace and field performance data collection for assessment of existing designs and for definition of new design specifications. Project outline:1. Creation, trial and implementation of a digital system that provides platform for real time field data collection in the area of vehicle coating performance.2. Utilisation of big data analytics for assessment of field performance vs. predicted design performance. 3.
