Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

TME’s Internal Audit function delivers business, IT and SOX audits as well as advisory missions across the organisation. Our 18-person team is based in Wrocław (Poland) and Brussels (Belgium), with the Brussels-based data and AI team driving innovation by embedding analytics and artificial intelligence into the way we audit, helping generate sharper insights and greater value for the business.

Your project

• Develop, test and document AI agent prototypes that support Internal Audit activities, with human review and traceability built in
• Use large language models, APIs and natural language processing techniques for document analysis, information extraction and workflow automation
• Build user-friendly AI and analytics prototypes using Python, SQL and platforms such as Snowflake and Streamlit
• Prepare, transform and validate data, define test scenarios and evaluate AI output quality and limitations
• Work with auditors and data colleagues to identify high-value AI use cases across the audit lifecycle
• Document requirements, architecture and results, and present outcomes and recommendations to internal stakeholders

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • You have interest in artificial intelligence, automation and data analytics applied to internal audit, risk and governance
  • You are pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
  • You have knowledge of Python and SQL, and understand core AI, machine-learning and large language model concepts
  • You approach problems analytically, communicate limitations clearly and collaborate easily with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Experience with API integration, Git/GitHub, Snowflake, Streamlit or cloud platforms is an advantage, and you handle confidential information responsibly

 

Starting date: 01/09/2026 (flexible, based on the candidate’s availability)

 

Duration: 6 months

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
