In a nutshell

As a Talent Engagement Intern, you will support the development and engagement of Supply Chain employees by helping to identify future skill needs, develop training pathways, and support learning and engagement initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders to better understand the shopfloor environment and contribute to building a future‑ready workforce.

Your team and your responsibilities

You will be part of Operations Excelence Division, Health, Safety & Talent Engagement department.

Your project

  • You will drive the member development strategy for supply chain 
  • Development roadmap creation ensuring members are ready for the future
  • Execute industry benchmarking & seek good practice within Toyota
  • Research emerging trends in Supply Chain (automation, sustainability, digitalization, resilience)
  • Map skills against future business needs
  • Develop the methodology to assess member development needs, deploy trainings and evaluate progress
  • You will be able to work together X-functionally to broaden your knowledge and experience.

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language). Dutch is an asset.
  • You are currently enrolled in a Master’s programme (such as HR or Supply Chain Management with a clear interest in Development) and are available for a fulltime internship of six months starting in July in Diest. 
  • Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel, Word, Powerpoint), ability to create high quality material for presentations and reporting.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for presenting findings.
  • Strong analytical skills, perseverance, and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative approach to future-proofing skills
  • Knowledge of Learning & Development principles is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Flexible team player, open personality, spirit to challenge and explore uncharted territories

  •  1st of July 2026

Duration

  •  6 months, in Diest (Belgium)

Confidentiality

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
