Internship at Toyota Motor Europe focuses on improving a MATLAB-based vehicle dynamics data processing tool. You’ll analyze test and simulation data, develop scripts, and validate results to support vehicle performance evaluation (handling, ride, steering). Ideal candidates have strong MATLAB skills, an analytical mindset, and basic vehicle dynamics knowledge. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and innovation within the R&D Chassis division.

Team/division description
Vehicle Dynamics Group responsibility is to develop vehicle dynamics performances of new models.
Inspired by the Toyota Way principles, we are committed to delivering the highest-quality products to our customers while embracing a mindset of continuous improvement.
Your project
Background
Vehicle dynamics encompasses key aspects of a vehicle’s behavior, including handling, ride comfort, and steering feel. Each of these performance areas is defined by a set of detailed performance aspects, which can be assessed using objective data obtained through testing or simulation. To extract meaningful insights and assess performance, this data must be processed using dedicated analysis tools. These tools are continuously updated and enhanced to improve accuracy, efficiency, and analytical capability.
Tasks
The main objective of the internship is to support Toyota’s vehicle development process by enhancing an automated tool used to process objective data from test tracks and simulations. To achieve this, the following activities are planned:
