Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

           

Research and Development (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning and development of attractive, superior quality cars matching European customers and market requirements.  

TME Powertrain Evaluation department’s responsibility is to evaluate locally developed powertrains before introduction to the market. We ensure the design is adapted and fit to European customers' expectations and European suppliers' production methods. This activity is done in close cooperation with our local suppliers, production plants and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in Japan.  

 

Your project

 

You will be joining the Powertrain Evaluation Department, responsible for the evaluation of powertrain components, including BEV power electronics and batteries. Typically, the components are undergoing several months of durability evaluations, according to fixed testing patterns. Those evaluations generate big amounts of data which we want to process efficiently and timely. Together with an experienced team member, you will work on the automation of that data processing:

  • Further develop, optimize, and expand the existing Python analysis tool.
  • Migration from local to cloud computing.
  • Integrate automatic generation of reports.
  • Embedding of generative AI in the process.
  • Developing multi-agent systems for data analysis applications.

 

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language).
  • University student with at least 2 years of study already completed in computer science or similar.
  • You have a European EEA citizenship.  (Not requiring a visa to work in Belgium).
  • You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Open personality and able to work independently in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Appreciated IT skills: AI agent systems, APIs integration, applied AI,  Snowflake, DBT, Python, SQL

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
