Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

           

The Powertrain Division at Toyota Motor Europe is responsible for developing powertrains for vehicles produced in Europe and researching new automotive technologies. The team focuses on electrification, big data, and connectivity to shape the future of mobility.

 

Your project

 

You will analyze driving and charging data from Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) to define requirements for future high-voltage battery systems. Your insights will help monitor market trends and optimize vehicle specifications to exceed customer expectations.

  • Analyze quantitative & qualitative data from customer vehicles
  • Support definition future vehicle and battery specifications based on market trends
  • Use MATLAB and Python for data processing and visualization
  • Summarize and present complex technical information clearly

 

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • University student 
  • You have a European EEA citizenship.  (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium)
  • Open personality and able to work independently in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a clear and visual way.
  • Working proficiency in MATLAB (must), Python (must)

  •  May 2025

  •  6 months

Confidentiality

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
