Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

           

Within the Electronics Engineering Division, the Electronics Evaluation team is responsible for:

Evaluating electronics across the entire vehicle

Conducting Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests for both vehicles and test benches

Performing Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) evaluations at the system and vehicle levels, conducting EUNCAP tests.

Our findings are incorporated into vehicle specifications or evaluation criteria. Our objective is to establish competitive performance targets that align with the needs and expectations of the EU market. To achieve this, we utilize our evaluation skills, including precise measurement capabilities, to identify performance gaps through objective assessments and propose appropriate Counter Measures (C/M) and/or system specification adjustments.

 

Your project

  • EMC simulation of PCB and/or systems used in the vehicle
  • Validation in EMC chamber on bench and/or vehicle
  • Comparison results with different software

 

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • You have knowledge of EMC theory
  • You have experience in EMC software simulation, i.e. Ansys HFSS, CST Studio, and others
  • You have interest in EMC vehicle testing
  • You have interest in the automotive sector

  •  March 2025

  •  6 months

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
