Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

           

The Production Planning division is at the heart of Toyota’s manufacturing operations. From our headquarters in Europe we manage the short and long term production plan of our 4 vehicle plants and our 3 Engine plants in Europe

 

All operations are planned and organised in accordance with the concepts of the Toyota Production System (TPS) to achieve Safety, Quality, Just-in-Time and Cost objectives

 

Your project

Through this internship, you’ll be joining a team in central position, coordinating Demand & Supply between Sales and Manufacturing (Plants) operation. You’ll have opportunity to take part and contribute to Toyota Europe production planning monthly process, and manage daily Production Control activities.

You’ll also support key reports, production results and regular KPIs preparation for Management and other stakeholders.


As part of Toyota’s continuous improvement, you’ll be asked to investigate ways to eliminate inefficiencies in some of our processes through process kaizen and tasks automatization. 

 

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Working towards a university degree, Business Management, Supply chain, Computer Science or Engineering
  • You have affinity with automotive and are passionate about quality
  • You are highly numeric, with strong logical and analytical skills (Excel & PowerBI).  Knowledge of programming language is a plus (eg: Python)
  • You have a strong interest in data management
  • You enjoy a multicultural and international environment
  • You are pro-active and willing to be a team player in an international team
  • You are stress resistant with a hands-on mentality
  • You have the ability to develop creative ways for operational challenges and for cost improvements
  • You are a pragmatic problem solver, result driven

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
