Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

           

TME Customer Quality Division’s primary role is to resolve quality related concerns affecting the European markets, together with R&D and manufacturing partners. EDER Business Reform team (EBR), as part of Customer Quality Division 1 is responsible for enabling faster issue detection by more efficient monitoring and analysis of possible quality concerns in the market through digitalisation, automation and system developments

 

Your project

 

As intern in the EDER Business Reform team:

  • You will support translating Business requirements into a Data Science project which generates valuable insights for the Quality engineers.
  • You will collaborate with EBR team members and Quality engineresto establish the data science workflow, starting from the data collection, data extraction, data exploration and statistical analysis.
  • You will be in charge of developping the analytics required by the business.
  • You will prepare and fine tune machine learning models
  • You will get value from data by building dashboards or webapps which provide real time insight from your analytics into the Quality process.
  • You will contribute to the team wiki page by documenting your work

Your Profile

  • Student in last year of master study (can be PhD), data science, automotive or computer engineering
  • Familiar with Data Science & Statistics
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Practical Knowledge of the main Machine learning libraries (Scikit-Learn, Statsmodels, Keras, Tensorflow)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experienced with Supervised Machine Learning and clustering techniques
  • Familiar with Classifiers, Regressors and their metrics
  • Good understanding of NLP and LLMs
  • You seek facts before making recommendations or decisions, have strong planning and organizing skills
  • You have strong analytical problem solving skills reinforced by good common sense
  • You are a quick and eager learner with a flexible mind and good eye for details
  • You are a team player with good communication skills inside a multicultural environment
  • You have interest in automotive, software, Big Data, connected cars
  • You are fluent in English (reading; writing; speaking)

  • Before January 2025

  •  6 months

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
