Join the “One Toyota” Academy transformation project and support the team on specific project tasks to grow and finetune your project management skills. The intern will be involved in various learning & development projects, based on her/his knowledge of tools/experience/project management expertise.

Toyota Academy:

 

Context

Business Transformation is happening at a faster pace and as an European organization - TME (Toyota Motor Europe) & NMSCs (Toyota National Marketing & Sales Companies) & Network – we need to accelerate our transformation towards a mobility services provider.

For our retail network to remain the Best Retailers in Town, they will need to transform providing the Best Retail Experience in Town, attract, develop and keep talent acting as the Best Employer in Town while also becoming the Best Mobility Services Provider in Town.

For Toyota Academy, this means that we need to transform towards a future-proof & sustainable learning organization, which through an efficient & effective approach (using the latest technology), needs to empower the retail teams and ensure they not only thrive in the present but also lead the changes of tomorrow.

 

Mission

The Academy Europe at TME is responsible for all learning & development for our Toyota Retail Network in Europe related to the following topics:

  • Best Retailer in Town – Build a customer centric, agile and self-sustaining European network
  • Product Training – Create and deliver training assets to support new product & technology launches
  • Technical Training – Facilitate Fix-it-Right during maintenance and repairs on customers’ cars
  • Skills Training – Enable a memorable customer experience during the sales process at Retailers

Creating the right environment and training programs in which, together with the local markets (NMSCs) training Academies, the latest knowledge and skills is transferred effectively and efficiently to Retailer staff – management teams, frontline staff & technicians.

 

Your project

 

Your key project will be to support the set-up of “ONE Toyota Academy” in Europe, achieving required efficiencies and training effectiveness of our Training Academy organization.

These are your responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a project roadmap
  • Coordinate project status updates with core TME team, mgmt. and NMSCs Taskforce
  • Support the progress of key prioritized workstreams including 1. new content strategy 2. improve process & standards with Business Units 3. Set-up of an evolved measurement framework 4. The evolution of the Learning Management System 5. Innovation in Learning Technologies.
  • Work together with Vertical Integration Team to coordinate efforts
  • Escalate progress blocking points if needed
  • Suggest/implement Kaizen actions where possible

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME business language)
  • You have interest in Learning & Development, Learning Technologies, Training, People development.
  • You are proactive, autonomous, and can already demonstrate strong project management skills, coordinating people & resources, timelines and deliverables.
  • You have Microsoft Office 365 experience
  • You have basic understanding of IT development processes
  • You are an adaptive team player, able to work with a diverse team, multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • You feel fully in line with Toyota Way principles

  •  01/10/2024 - Before January 2025

Duration

  •  6 months

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
