The final output should include a well-interfaced scenario library for each software tool (CARLA /Unreal, rFpro, carmaker, esmini, …) for smooth integration across use cases and simulator platforms. Remark: The work can have a rather artistic or a system integration scope depending on your capabilities / preferences. Team/division description Vehicle Charging team operates as a cross-functional group within the R&D 2 Powertrain Division. It consists of members from Advanced Research, Design, Calibration & Evaluation functions all working on electric vehicle charging system development. We research & develop the vehicle’s charging system components such as the on-board charger, DCDC converter, charge cable, etc,.. . Your project The increasing share of renewables in the energy mix creates challenges for the European electrical grid in terms of supply & demand balancing. Electric vehicles -with their battery storage capacity- can be a valuable resource to help stabilising our grids. To fully leverage this potential, bi-directional power exchange with the grid is required (V2G). Our team is currently developing a V2G solution based on a bi-directional on-board charger. You would be collaborating with the development team in system architecture definition.
